It's no secret with anyone who knows me one of my favorite bands is Jonas Brothers. They finally announced after weeks of rumors that they are breaking up "for now" only a few days before starting their tour that I would have been apart of, I digress...
Everyone has a favorite band.
For the people that truly and deeply appreciate music and an artist or band you grow up along with them. You go through the stress of tickets going on sale, camping outside in extreme weather, radio contests, poster making, waiting outside the venue to catch a glimpse of your favorite poeple, ext. It's amazing how a fandom can feel like a family.
Despite many people's thoughts, the Jonas Brothers still have a fanbase, mostly of college students growing up alongside them; including myself a junior in college. I love showing people this picture I took of my last show during their last tour, it was in Cuayahoga Falls, OH.
During that show I surprisingly was seated next to my friend Lauren (SURPRISE) from Nashville alongside my mom and friend from Michigan that came with us Stephanie. Because of the Jonas Brothers alone I have friends from 32 states, and 5 countries. No, we don't JUST talk about the boys, I'm actually a godmother of one of my friend's children that I met through them. I got to meet so many people through them and see so many incredible places I can't count. Without some of those friends I've made through them, my life would have been so drastically different.
With learning some of the entertainment ropes at their shows, I was starting my first tour the next day at the same venue. How incredible is that? They inspired me and their fans that dreams and aspirations can really happen. Most fans dream of meeting them, and the guys make that happen on a daily basis.
I can't wait for the boys to do their own things and I will support them 1000% on their endeavors. I admire them each for a different reason. Kevin, I witnessed him pull aside a fan with scarring on her wrists and he hugged her and said something that made her smile and cry happy tears. Joe I was so nervous meeting him for the first time which was on stage in front of a few hundred fans. I loved talking producing with Nick he gave me some great advice on learning.
Even though most think of them as a "typical Disney band" they're so much more than that and talented beyond their years.
I did press for them the last night in Ohio and wrote this review, I'd love to know your thoughts.
Jonas Brothers: Thank You, I can write a novel on how much you impacted my life with all the places I've been and people I've met through you, thank you for an amazing seven years. I'm not going to lie I can't wait for the reunion and new music but till then I can't wait to see what these brilliant brothers do next!
Dare for you reading this: Listen to some of these songs or google the lyrics, if you're not impressed it's your opinion but before you shut them out give them a chance. (P.s. these are my top favorites P.p.s. they produce, write, and play almost all of their music)
